That clown Wavy Gravy made me a transsexual. Well, he didn’t actually make me a transsexual, but he inspired me to be one. More accurately, this icon of the sixties hippie movement provided a model that helped me understand my transsexuality.

Jon Mundy Ph.D., is an author, lecturer and, as Dr. Baba Jon Mundane, a standup philosopher comedian. He’s been teaching university courses in Philosophy and Religion since 1967. He is the publisher of Miracles magazine, the author of eight books, and senior minister emeritus of Interfaith Fellowship with services in Cami Hall across from Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Tickets for this event are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

It is New Year’s Eve, and 2009 is just a few hours away. It’s a good time to look back, reflect, and dream exciting dreams about the new year.
When I was quite young, I would greet each new year with a flurry of resolutions. I had great plans for how I would improve myself and every aspect of my life in the coming year. Unfortunately, trying to do everything at once wasn’t very effective, and few of my resolutions survived the second week of January.

We will have a number of changes to our regularly scheduled activities due to the holidays. Here is a brief snapshot of our revised schedule:
Sunday worship will continue according to its normal schedule, 10:30am on Sunday mornings.
Reiki will meet on its normal first, third and fifth Monday schedule.
The “A Course in Miracles” Group will meet according to its normal schedule, 7:30pm on Tuesday nights.
The Choir will meet at 12:00pm on Sunday, December 21 after service for a brief rehearsal to prepare for our December 24 service. The choir will also meet at 9:00pm on Wednesday, December 24 to rehearse before our 10:00pm Candlelight service. There will be no choir rehearsal on December 31.
The HIV/AIDS Support Group will not meet on December 25, 2008 or January 1, 2009.
The Coming Out Support Group will not meet on December 19 or December 26.
We will have a special Christmas Eve service at 10:00pm on December 24. We will not have services on Christmas Day.
