Our Beliefs

At MCC San Jose, we believe that:

• We are called to follow Jesus and to continue his ministry of healing, teaching, and transforming the world.
• Our spiritual practices have the power to transform individual lives and the world around us.      
• We are called to love God, our neighbors and ourselves.
• We deepen our spirituality when we learn from people whose religious beliefs and practices are different from our own. We are called to be in community with people of different faiths, learning from each other and showing mutual respect for one another.
• Each of us has a special gift, a ministry that is uniquely our own. We are called to develop our gifts and exercise our own unique ministries.
• God’s creating work in the world is not over. Miracles occur in the world around us every day.
• Sexuality is a normal, healthy, and holy part of human experience. We see sexuality as a wondrous blessing from God and we seek the integration of our sexuality and our spirituality.
